and so much is happening world wide too. ..... so to posit this firmly in the early 21st century as I should have done 2 days ago but was so wrapped up in parties/gigs/work/hair dying and all the other mundane stuff of life, so while all that was going on Saddam Hussein was found in a hole near a farm house in the village he came from. He emerged still looking remarkably like my Uncle Geoffrey in an unkempt sort of way. Oddly he gave no resistence so now the West has to decide what should be done with him, and it MUST look fair, there should be no Guantanamo Bay affair with this man. I am sure though they would have much preferred to have him put up a fight so that they could just broadcast pictures of the body and that would be it, now there's potential international unrest and disagreement over physical treatment over judicial jurisdiction over where in the world they should hold him... and why is the death penalty being mentioned so often?????? Whose laws will apply?
